Ditch Witch’s enhanced lineup of vacuum excavators are known for boosting productivity and versatility on municipality and underground construction jobs. They only continue to expand the diverse categories of towable, truck mounted and hydro excavation trucks, to better fit customer needs and the evolving construction landscape.

One such model, the Ditch Witch HX30, which is popular for its compact footprint and low-profile design has recently received an upgrade with a new model variant. Introducing the HX30G Ditch Witch Vacuum Excavator.

The HX30G is a welcomed new addition to Ditch Witch’s popular line of HX vacuum excavators.

“We used direct customer feedback to offer a similar, but more economical, HX model that doesn’t compromise power or versatility. The HX30G delivers the same core benefits, in a low-profile package at a lower price point, to meet the specific needs of municipalities and contractors that use the machine daily,” explained Chapman Hancock, Ditch Witch Product Manager, vacuum excavators.

Ditch Witch HX30G Features

Take a look at some of the key features that make the Ditch Witch HX30G a stand out choice for urban contractors:

Low Profile Design

The Ditch Witch HX30G was designed for use in urban applications. The narrow frame and low height make it an ideal choice for congested areas. Additionally, the low-profile design features reduced height to ease maneuverability, taking inspiration from the original HX30 model.

Ground Clearance

Many low profile vacuum excavators offer little room when it comes to ground clearance, but the HX30G offers ample clearance to avoid obstacles.

Power

The HX30G runs on a 31-horsepower Vanguard gas engine, delivering airflow of up to 542 cubic feet per minute and water pressure of 3,000 pounds per square inch.

Tank Size

Customers can choose either a 500-gallon or 800-gallon tank depending on their typical job requirements.

Optional Jib

To achieve the maximum range of motion of any vacuum excavators in the industry, Ditch Witch offers an optional jib boom.
